FlighFit is an app developed to help women train harder & stronger confidently.
Using various modes and methods of training via the app or directly from this website, you can soar high with your results.
The aim is to make exercise & guidance accessible for all and help anyone achieve their goals their way.
With 30 years experience in the industry I have helped 1000's of people achieve their goals and change their lives. Utilising all aspects of fitness training from exercise to music, gym instructing, personal training, educating and assessing to running my own gym and now an Aerial Fitness Studio where we encourage females to feel strong, empowered and confident whilst developing their skills in Pole, Aerial Hoop and Aerial Hammocks.
My passion is in encouraging EVERYONE to maintain strength and mobility at all ages. From my aerial students, including my own daughter aged 16, to the 60+ yr old members, and of course everyone between. Get strong now and feel strong for life.
My Goal? I just want every woman I train feel like a BAD-ASS WARRIOR!
If you look closely, you'll see the 'Fligh' part looks like 'High' which is the name of my aerial fitness studio. A place of fun, laughter, high energy, high vibes and soaring success.
These are all attributes I wanted with the app... a place of community & support and a space where women can lift other women up, elevate their lives & their moods, celebrate each others achievements and are 'flying' high with their results, strength and confidence.
So, FlighFit is a tribute to my aerial studio, but it has evolved into a digital platform offering a variety of exercise methods - from gym programming and follow-along workouts to personalised coaching and to support my High Aerial students or any others who might benefit, aerial specific programmes for 'off the pole' training are being developed.
Through the app, members receive support to achieve success with accountability and commitment, whilst remembering that life is about living, loving, laughing and enjoying every moment
I’ve always been the “sporty one.” While others were heading to Girls Brigade, I was off to Harriers running club. My school days were spent pulling javelins and hurdles out of the games shed during lunch breaks and after school. Sports days were my thing—I won every year and even represented Sussex in athletics. It was clear from the start that I was meant to do something in the world of sport. But over time, I realised it wasn’t just the thrill of competition I loved—it was the fitness aspect that really fuelled me.
At 14, I found myself wanting to be like the aerobics instructor who inspired me. Then, when I became an aerobics teacher, my ambition grew—I wanted to be the one teaching others to teach!
After finishing my degree in Sport and Exercise Science at university (no surprise there), I pursued my passion further. I became a teacher and started training students to become fitness professionals across various disciplines—exercise to music, gym instruction, spinning, weights, you name it. I even set up my own training provider business. But life as a gym owner, a mum of three and running my Aerial Fitness Studio was demanding, so I eventually shifted gears and became an Internal Verifier for another private training provider.
Despite all this experience and knowledge, getting that lean, muscular physique like the 90’s Gladiators seemed out of reach. Fitness tests would label me “fit but fat,” and my weight and size fluctuated, especially after having three kids. The older I got, the harder it was to balance everything.
When I hit a point where I knew I needed a change (see the first photo below), I got serious. I tackled issues related to age, like peri-menopausal symptoms, injuries, and my activity levels. Even though I was active, I realised I wasn’t being efficient.
For a year, I went solo, using all my knowledge and sheer stubbornness to get back to my “usual” state of feeling okay. But I didn’t want to settle for just okay—I wanted to feel stronger, fitter, and more confident. So, I took on a coach to guide me through this next stage.
Here’s the thing: even with all my years of experience and training, I still needed accountability and support. We all do. That’s why I’m here, encouraging women to invest in themselves. If someone like me, with 30 years of experience, can still learn and grow with the help of a coach, then you—yes, you—deserve the support and guidance to reach your goals too.
Hey there, I'm Di Clack
I currently live in Bristol with my hubby Darren of 22 years, Ember (13-year-old mad Working Cocker Spaniel) and a 17-year-old cat called Chip. We have a 22-year-old son, who is currently at university studying for his Masters.
I have had an interest in the Fitness Industry since the age of around 18 (1994), where I picked up my very first full-time job in a ladies only gym in Bristol. This is where I qualified as an Exercise To Music Instructor (Group Fitness). I worked here for around 4 years before moving on to a larger organisation to qualify as a Gym Instructor and Sport and Recreation Manager. I trained many people over the years, on a 1-2-1 basis and in a group setting to help them to achieve their ultimate health & fitness goals.
I worked my way up within the industry to the role of Gym Manager. I oversaw the Gym and Studio for the largest Fitness First Health Club worldwide, out of 400 clubs (at the time). I managed and led a team of over 35 Personal Trainers & Fitness Instructors, who looked after, coached & trained a membership base of around 5500 paying members.
In 2005 I joined the Fire Service as a full time Firefighter. During my time as a firefighter, I have competed in several triathlons, cycling events, played Hockey for the service and achieved a Gold & Platinum medals in the Three Peaks 24-hour challenge, running up the 3 of the highest peaks in the UK. I also held the role of Station Fitness Adviser, which enables me to support my colleagues with their own fitness goals. I currently work as Station Manager for the Fire Service and lead a team of around 24. I am responsible for overseeing all the operational equipment for the service, to ensure our front-line crews are equipped and prepared when attending operational incidents.
In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit and strong, a must for my role in the Fire Service. I train 5 times per week in the gym or at home and currently follow a programme to increase my strength & fitness. This year I have refocused my training specifically on becoming stronger, to support my bones & joints and hopefully reduce the chances of acquiring degenerative bone / joint problems as I become older.
More recently I have developed a real interest in Integrated Performance Conditioning (IPC), which incorporates a combination of 6 key training areas: Movement Quality Training, Flexibility & Mobility, Strength & Power, Injury Reduction & Rehab, Metabolic Conditioning and Recovery & Regeneration. Fitness has grown and moved on loads over the years, so it is important to me that I keep myself up to date with research, reading and trying new things as they come and go within the industry.
I am currently studying to become a Strength Training & Conditioning Coach, to support my interest in ICP. This will give me a proficient level of knowledge, skill and understanding to support clients & athletes with their end goal, whether that is training for a specific sport, event, or general health & fitness.
All I ask from you as my potential clients is...
‘Have faith in the journey & believe in the process, it can take time'
